Such a great opportunity for the kids and you. I had a friend who's dad was Navy and they always lived overseas. She remembers living in Spain and the Rock of Gibralter. Tons of memories and think of all they learn...lucky lucky lucky. Guess they had a VW van and she remembers her baby brother lying in back. When they'd turn corners, it'd be "thump thump thump" from him rolling around back there.

I looked it up on the map. It is costal. From what I have heard it is beautiful in that area, espically at sunset. I'll be out of school at the end of Spring, so hopefully I will make it there.(key word being hopefully!)

Sorry, I never got back to you. I grew up in Papua New Guinea (North of Australia) vs. Equitorial Guinea or Guinea West Africa (probably one of the last two you were thinking of.) My Dad has been to all three. He might have some great ideas on what life is like there for kids. Anyway, I am excited for you. And a tad envious. How long is your language school? Did you say the school was in DC or California? I am really hoping my husband submits (and is approved) for the defense attache position. He keeps wishy-washing. bleck. That's a whole 'nother issue.
